So yes I managed to stop thinking of my so short but so perfect weekend getaway in Costa Smeralda, enjoying what's left of summer and getting my inspiration from one of my favorites hotel in Calvi, La Villa.
And this is why I haven't been posting much art lately! It's quite difficult to keep focused and create art when you're in Paradise.
If you follow me on Instagram you might already know that I travel a lot, it's actually a passion! I started travelling when I was a kid and since then I never stopped: with my parents, for school, for work and for pleasure, I never stop it's like an addiction! So being such a passionate traveller I know how hard it is to find the perfect destination , or the perfect places to visit especially when we have just a couple of days and we wouldn't want to waist time on average experiences. Basically that is why, besides my art, I would also like to share with you my travel experiences hoping that they might help you enjoy the perfect holiday!
Let's start with my most recent 3 days escapade in Sardinia in the region of Costa Smeralda.
Now you know why I say that it's Paradise ! The landscapes are exquisite and they really make you feel that you're on holidays. Of course the region is quite full of tourist in August but the beauty of it is that you still can find places away from all the buzz.
You can start by booking an hotel that is not quite in the middle of all. That's what we did by choosing Li Finistreddi Hotel and I can tell you that we weren't dissapointed at all!

We loved the hotel so much and their restaurant didn't dissapoint us either. After a chill afternoon by the swimming pool we headed to Porto Cervo and that's the part that we didn't really enjoy , to much people, drinks way to expensive for the quality and except luxury brands boutiques and luxurious boats nothing much to see.
What followed tough was one of the best restaurants I've seen so far - Churrascaria in Porto Cervo. For 50 euros you have a buffet and 30 different meats that are served at your table during the entire dinner not to mention the roasted pineapple - the best thing I've tasted in a while!! Besides eating well what makes this place so great is the ambience - live music with a brilliant saxophone player that add class and groove to the dinner. Perfect experience that you won't regret!
Next day was about wine tasting at the Surrau domaine, a very pleasant tour of the wines and the wine caves. Besides learning a bit about the process of making wine we also discovered a very good local wine Sole di Surrau , it's actually a dessert wine but not excessively sweet as they usually are.
After the wine tasting and an afternoon for beach sight seeing we planned the night at Phi Beach , the place to be in Porto Cervo.
Be prepared to wait in line if you haven't booked a table. The wait is worth the while because the location of the club will leave you speechless. The scene on one side the sunset on the other , good music , beautiful people and an overall serene mood - all these will for sure make you have a great night out surrounded by the wonders of natures and lots of luxurious boats ;).

Finally after a perfect night at Phi Beach , next day we decided to relax so we went on a private cruise around La Maddalena archipel on a beautifull sailing ship. Owned by Cinzia and Christian , very nice hosts that give you inside information about the beaches, the islands, and the culture of the place. During the tour you will visit places like the Pink Beach or at least pink before tourists started stealing the pink sand now it's more like white pinkish and that is why it is closed to public but you can still see it from far and it is a nice sight I can assure you! Lunch on the boat plus 2, 3 stops in blue clear waters to refresh , tanning and a bit of local history , the perfect way to end this trip in Paradise !
Needless to say that we were at 0 battery when we came back home but it was a good fatigue cause it was all worth the while!
There you go- my Costa Smeralda review, it came out quite long so in the future I'll try to make it shorter.
Long story short some of my recomandations in Costa Smeralda :
Hotel: Li Finistreddi Hotel.
Restaurants: Osteria Gourmet Li Finistreddi, Churrascaria Porto Cervo.
Activities: Wine tasting at the Surrau domaine, Private cruise around La Maddalena.
Night out: Phi Beach Porto Cervo
Waiting forward to our next trip and in the meantime I'll get back to my art as this trip helped me a lot in finding the inspiration I lacked in the last couple of weeks !
PS: Above a stencil art I made inspired by the other side of Costa Smeralda, with a certain type of clients you will see a lot of this as well but it's quite funny ;).
Haven't been posting much lately but I had my hands full with some other projects and of course, summer, the beach, the sun, the holidays ...it's quite hard to stay focused on work in these conditions :D Anyhow besides trying out new techniques and searching for inspiration I also worked on a series inspired by Corsica for a local exhibition. Usually you will see landscapes, watercolors and the classic art but I wanted to adapt the theme to my style and in the end the result looks a lot like I imagined. Below you can find a small selection of the prints I exhibited , feel free to browse my art prints gallery and send me your opinions on this series. Also don't forget that you have free worldwide delivery on all orders on my website. Wish you all a wonderful August !
You might have noticed that I am a sea lover , actually it's no coincidence that I chose to settle on an island ! The sea, the blue, the beach all these are so close to my heart and give me so good vibes that it doesn't come as a surprise that they inspire my current artworks. Hello everybody and welcome to my website. So... let's start with the beginning:
Who am I, what do I do and where do I do it from?
I am a freelance artist from Transylvania ( yes the land of vampires ;) living in a small paradise called Corsica. Beaux Arts graduate with a passion for fashion, illustration and globe-trotting.
I have lived in Brussels, Dubai and Paris before settling in this corner of heaven and my work has always been art & fashion related. I am constantly searching for new ways of artistic expression and my latest passion is to combine digital and classic techniques like watercolor and ink. Canvas and paper are the mediums I prefer and monochromie is my bible. Inspiration comes from life in general and from my current moods. I am a fan of Scandinavian design and I absolutely adore creating mood walls with my illustrations!
On my website you can find some of my original canvas and paper artworks as well as a selection of Limited Edition art prints. Sometimes I use some of my drawings to create t-shirt designs and it turns out my illustrations work quite well on cotton!
